Privacy policy

1. Controller

2. What we collect

Onboarding answers: fuel, municipality, tank size and consumption. Your device location only if you allow it, and only to find stations near you.

Account: an account ID and, after payment, the email you gave at checkout.

Subscription: plan, status, dates and Polar customer and subscription IDs. We never see your card details.

Notifications: if you allow them, the push subscription address of your device.

Technical data: server logs with IP address and browser, kept by our hosting provider for security.

3. Why, and on what legal basis

To provide the service and the alerts you pay for (contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Location and notifications only with your permission, which you can withdraw in the browser at any time (consent, Art. 6(1)(a)).

Security, fraud prevention and keeping the service running (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)).

Invoices and tax records, kept by Polar as merchant of record (legal obligation).

4. Who processes it

Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Polar Software, Inc. with Stripe (payments; Polar is an independent controller for payment data), and the push services of your browser (Apple, Google, Mozilla) to deliver notifications.

The map loads tiles from OpenFreeMap, which sees your IP address. The Go button opens Google Maps, under Google's own privacy policy.

Some of these providers are in the United States. Transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

5. How long

Account and preferences: while you have an account, and up to 12 months after your subscription ends, then deleted.

Push subscriptions: until you turn notifications off or the browser revokes them.

Payment records: as required by tax law, kept by Polar.

6. Your rights

You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and object to processing, by emailing evrimdemir0@gmail.com. We answer within one month.

You can complain to a supervisory authority, for example CNPD in Portugal (cnpd.pt) or the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (aki.ee).

7. Cookies and local storage

We use no advertising or analytics cookies. The app keeps your answers, language and sign-in on your device (local storage) so it works without a password. Clearing the site data removes them.

To count visits we keep a random ID in local storage and record which pages were opened, where the visit came from (for example a search engine or a QR code), the country and whether it was a phone or computer. No IP address, name or email is stored with it, it is never shared or used for advertising, and we only look at totals. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.

8. Children

The service is not aimed at people under 16.
