Questions

Will diesel and petrol go up next week?

We publish the estimate on Friday around 6 pm, based on international diesel and petrol quotes and the euro-dollar rate. It is an estimate, not an official figure: the final price at each station can differ.

When do fuel prices change?

In Portugal stations usually update prices on Monday, following how the quotes moved the week before. Each station sets its own price, so stations close to each other can differ a lot.

Why is the average here different from DGEG and the news?

The average DGEG publishes, which the news quotes, already takes off a standard card discount, so it reads a few cents lower. Here we show the posted pump price, which is what you pay without a discount and matches DGEG's 'without discount' average.

Where do these numbers come from?

From public prices on the DGEG portal. This site is not affiliated with DGEG. The national average uses only prices updated in the last 7 days.

Is next week's forecast official?

No. A forecast, when one exists, is an estimate. None is published right now.

Why does the official chart stop before today?

The official DGEG series we stored ends on 4 November 2026. Station prices may already carry a later date.

Next time you fill up, pay less.

Takes 30 seconds. We don't ask for an email.
